About Tensor Tech
Julien Hennequin
This session introduces Tensor Tech, core competencies, and product lines for spacecraft motion control. Attendees will get a quick tour of our portfolio from CMG-based motion control and complete ADCS solutions to sun sensors and ADCS TestBed along with the problems these products solve across different satellite classes.

What are Control Moment Gyroscopes? Part 1: Fundamentals
Thomas Yen
This session introduces the design considerations for achieving satellite agility. We will discuss the comparison of reaction wheels with single-gimbal CMGs (SGCMGs) and highlight the key differences between traditional SGCMGs and Tensor Tech’s spherical-motor variable-speed SGCMG (VSCMG). The focus is on understanding the trade-offs in system design and actuator selection.

What are Control Moment Gyroscopes? Part 2: Performance
Thomas Yen
Building on the fundamentals, this session examines how different actuator choices affect spacecraft performance. We will review power consumption, compare the physical volume of individual units (traditional SGCMG, Tensor Tech VSCMG, and reaction wheel), and analyze four-unit cluster configurations. Finally, we will explore the angular-momentum envelope to illustrate how Tensor Tech’s VSCMG expands spacecraft maneuvering capability within constrained mass and volume budgets.

Get a system-level view of Tensor Tech's ADCS products. This session outlines the full lineup, a unified connection diagram showing how each component interfaces across the stack, and all supported operating modes. You will leave with a practical understanding of integration paths and the control capabilities available for different mission profiles.
